Another unique touch is a comic strip story that is artfully interwoven with the actual game play and level design. The story involves Fred, the reluctant mascot of the game, and his boss, the game designer.

Anders continues, “Stories in puzzle games are basically silly fluff with little connection to the actual game. Not so in Lighthouse Lunacy. Hints to the levels and clever comments on the game itself and its three participants (game designer, game character & game player) make the story an integral part of the experience.�
